Stratagem (Competitive Chess Club)

Stratagem is a competitive chess club designed to prepare members to compete in UCSF rated tournaments and raise their ratings. However, all new players are welcomed and will be provided teaching to introduce them to the game and help them get started. Members will be introduced to playing when using chess clocks and the ELO rating system. Practice tournaments will be hosted at almost every meeting to simulate real play. Eventually, we hope to send select advanced members to UCSF tournaments to compete as a team.
