People for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

This club is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting local shelters in SoCal. Our mission for this club is rooted with action and compassion for animals that have been rescued and are looking for their forever home. This club can connect with people around campus who are connected with animals and want to make a difference in our society to get these dogs and cats a forever home and not make their waiting days so boring! We will host donations for the shelters we plan on working with to help them with supplies that they might need to care for these animals. It can focus on public awareness, teaching communities on the importance of these dogs and cats that need to restart in life too, allowing us to go spend time with them and make them not lonely at times. We also give the students who help volunteer at the club community service hours for helping our local shelters. This is a very hands-on club that we wish to grow even further from not just one club but possibly more by the end of the year. We hope to visualize the world around us with safe and cared for animals. This club can also help students connect with each other and realize that they have the same interest and grow deeper bonds as they volunteer at the shelter together!
