About
The Agora club will meet every first and third Thursday of each month in Mr. Ueno’s room (354) during lunch. We will hand out small readings each week, all relating to classical ideas in moral philosophy, and members are expected to read them in between meetings. Each meeting will have one member leading a discussion on the reading. The leaders (who will rotate each week) will ask questions, debate, and promote deeper thinking on the topics presented. All members will be deeply involved in the discussion, and there will be activities for groups of members to challenge each other and persuade each other to see concepts differently. The member who will be leading the discussion will be informed during the meeting prior, and will be given two weeks to prepare the discussion and spark possible debate. If the leader is absent, an officer will take over the discussion.
